Hello there! The Linky Tools blog hop is officially underway. A couple weeks ago, I tested out the platform to run my parties, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with what it has to offer. To give you a better idea of how these services stack up, here are the specific features and qualities I appreciate about both InLinkz and Linky Tools. The likes & dislikes will be updated as I encounter them. These will be highlighted in yellow.
inLinkz
- Like: it’s clean, simple, easy to use.
- Like: Free version with many limits.
- Dislike: Subscription is expensive IMO. New subscribers $7.99 monthly.
- Dislike: To be included in the directory, must be a subscriber. Not for free account.
Linky Tools
- Like: It’s clean. However a bit of a learning curve. Not bad, but different than the inLinkz
- Like: Subscription fee just $2.00 a month or $20.00 yearly.
- Like: Can select text only links or thumbnail image link for party entries.
- Like: The option for creating a text link party is very clean appearing on my blog post.
- Like: The party can be set up for readers to ‘like’ a post link. Can use this for featuring posts with the most likes, a true voting counter for ‘most liked’.
- Dislike: The option for creating a thumbnail link party is not as user friendly as inLinkz.

I would love to join in the fun, but my computer just doesn’t like Linky Tools.

Hi, Marsha. I sent an email. Am curious about your computer and what it does when you try to add a link.
All the best.
While I’m sitting in front of our house inZakythos and watch the lights of the houses by the sea in the dark I have linked my two new posts.
Have a good time
Violetta
Hi, Violetta. I love the image you have given to me! I’m heading over to read those two posts!
All the best.
I can’t see where thr links are.
Hi, Jim. The thumbnail is the link. Next You Name It will show the text link with the thumbnail.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
All the best,
I have to update – I had a positive review of InLinkz just a couple weeks ago, but since then it has changed and my Legacy account is no longer available, and the restrictions on the free version are not acceptable to me, nor is the expense of the paid version. I will probably be switching back to Linky Tools, which I used years ago so I will have to relearn.
I’ve noticed the Linky Tools is not updated to be responsive. At least this is my assumption with the dashboard. However, the yearly subscription is minimal and does a fine job. I will continue to use both Linky Tools and inLinkz. If ever I have more than 50 links added to one of my parties, I’ll switch all parties to the Linky Tools.
Thanks for your update!
All the best.
Ohhhh Debbie. Thanks bunches for sharing YOU NAME IT Linky with Sweet Tea & Friends this month dear friend.
