Welcome to Life Captured. I’m thrilled to report that the daily photo challenge has officially unlocked a new routine for me. Taking a picture a day has transitioned from a task into a habit that I genuinely look forward to. It keeps me mindful and creative, as I’m always looking for that one special moment to capture. It’s incredibly fun to see where the day takes me and what that final picture will turn out to be. Here is a glimpse into my latest seven days and seven snaps!
Sunday- Aug 16, 2026
Kevin and I started our morning with breakfast at Wendy’s, which was my very first time eating from their menu. After we finished eating, we went on our usual grocery shopping trip. The meal was great, but when the cashier handed me my cup and I walked over to the drink machine, I completely froze because I had no clue how to use that touch screen.
After breakfast we went to my nieces home to deliver her family pictures we had taken end of July. From her house is when we went grocery shopping.
Monday- Aug 17, 2026
Finished up my morning bus run and decided to work with my new lens. The cloudy skies worked in my favor, giving me the perfect soft lighting to play around with. Super happy with how this shot turned out!
Such a fun little outing. I am really looking forward to spending a full day at the park next time, doing some people-watching and taking photos. I will definitely bring my tripod along for the next round!
Tuesday- Aug 18, 2026
Put the 240mm lens + 10x magnifier to work today! Fun fact: the “tripod” is actually just a selfie stick I bought at the same place. I loved the results so much I already ordered the 16mm and 75mm lenses. Excited to use those handheld for everyday shots!
Wednesday- Aug 19, 2026
After my morning route, this group of cows came to greet me. There’s nothing compared to a cow’s kiss 💋
Except maybe, sandpaper!
Thursday- Aug 20, 2026
On a whim, I called my friend to see if she would ride with me to deliver a package to my grand daughter and then go for dinner at Golden Corral. I never got the picture of my chosen food. But I saw this up on the wall and thought, ‘yep, I found my happiness’. Golden Corral is one of my favorite places to eat!
Friday- Aug 21, 2026
Another hot day on the PM bus route. I was passing Mr. Mike to get into line up. Thought he looked cute. Yes, cute. Had to stop to get this picture!
Saturday- Aug 22, 2026
This picture was actually taken the day my daughter had her tonsils removed. It made her day and reassured her all would be okay.
This image showed up on my iPhone in the Google Photos app.
