Those Cute Little Emoji’s

Hi, there. It’s wonderful to ‘see’ you! While working on my Seven Days, Seven Snaps post tonight, I stumbled across a fun little trick! You might already know about this, but I think a few of you will find it super handy. I’ve always loved seeing cute emoji’s on other blogs to show different emotions, but up until now, I was actually copying and pasting them from Google searches. Turns out, there is a much faster and easier way to open the built-in emoji menu! 🤔

iOS Menu

I will first explain how to pull up the emoji menu on a Mac using the iOS software. (I use Mac 💻)

emoji
  • Open the menu: press Control key + Command key + Space bar at the same time to open the emoji & symbol menu.
  • Search for the desired emoji/symbol.
  • Insert the emoji. Click on the emoji you want. It will be added where the curser is blinking.

There’s a second approach to display the emoji menu. Simply click the Edit in the top tool bar. Once this opens, at the bottom select Emoji & Symbols.

Windows PC

Instructions from Google search. (Because I don’t use PC. 💻)

That’s it. It was a short, fun little tip. Hopefully, it may come in handy for you! Do you like to use emoji’s ⁉️😘

Yesterday is today’s memory.
Be sure to capture your memory today!

All the best,.

  1. Thanks! I rarely think to use emoji’s but really didn’t know how to anymore since I switched to Firefox and emojis aren’t as readily available.

  2. I appreciate the shortcut for Mac users—Control+Command+Space is much faster than copying from a search. For Windows, I think the Win+Period key combo works similarly, which might be a handy addition. Thanks for sharing this practical tip for everyday blogging.
