So cute! We used to find painted turtles like that all over our beach– but not yet this year.
So many different critters found in the skimmer over time. Some I don’t want to touch!

There’s just something so joyful about a painted turtle. I think it’s because it reminds me of my childhood. You could buy them at the dime store. I do wonder how many died due to neglect because no one educated the little kids who got them on how to take care of them.
