Seven Days, Seven Snaps 7

Welcome to Life Captured. I’m thrilled to report that the daily photo challenge has officially unlocked a new routine for me. Taking a picture a day has transitioned from a task into a habit that I genuinely look forward to. It keeps me mindful and creative, as I’m always looking for that one special moment to capture. It’s incredibly fun to see where the day takes me and what that final picture will turn out to be. Here is a glimpse into my latest seven days and seven snaps!

Sunday- Aug 9, 2026

Oops. A total accident. Did not even know I took this shot!

🤔🤣

Monday- Aug 10, 2026

Finalizing the seating chart for the first day of school tomorrow! I keep two cell phones, one for personal use and one dedicated to contacting parents on my route. Adding a work line to my plan was only around $10 plus tax, well worth keeping my personal number private. Just a heads-up: I only answer this work phone during school hours! 😉

Tuesday- Aug 11, 2026

After my morning route on first day of school, I needed to go into the elementary school to deliver an item left on the bus. As I was walking to the office, I saw this quote on the wall. Oh, how true!

Wednesday- Aug 12, 2026

I am so excited. My 240mm super zoom lens for my iPhone arrived today! The lens is very nice, not plastic. I am impressed!

Thursday- Aug 13, 2026

The lens came in yesterday and I am just now trying it out. Of course when I attached the lens and looked thru the camera of phone, I saw the attached lens and not the plant! Oh, the disappointment. Frantically I was searching the Shiftcam website, YouTube and contacting the support email for Shiftcam. I found that a third party camera app was needed to allow the camera to not switch from telephoto to main lens automatically.

Friday- Aug 14, 2026

Shiftcam support got back to me with a few recommended apps: Project Indigo, Adobe Lightroom, Blackmagic Camera, and ProCamera.

Choosing Project Indigo paid off! The top image in the collage shows the 240mm lens paired with a single 10x macro converter. The bottom image shows the dramatic result of stacking a total of three 10x macro converters together. Next step: finding a sturdy, travel-friendly tripod!

Saturday- Aug 15, 2026

It was another hot day, so I stayed inside, washed dishes, and spent time blogging. Scrambling for a photo today, I ended up using my late lunch as the subject.

If you’ve ever been to Casey’s, you know how great their food is. Since small-town quick options are limited, this store is a go-to. The turkey ranch wrap and their pizzas are real highlights. Definitely give them a try if you get the chance.

This is just half of the wrap. It’s pretty big. I ate the first half Thursday. Had to eat the other half or toss it out and I didn’t want to do that. Those cherry tomatoes, from our garden- fresh!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by Life Captured and look through my latest week of picture journaling! Waking up every day to find that one perfect moment has become such a rewarding routine, and now that it is officially a habit, sharing it with you makes it even better. I can’t wait to see what unexpected stories the next seven days will bring. I’m so glad to have you along for this creative journey, and I look forward to seeing you right back here next week for the next round of snaps!

Yesterday is today’s memory.
Be sure to capture your memory today!

All the best,.
