Seven Days, Seven Snaps

Hi, everyone! Welcome to Life Captured. I’m officially testing the waters with a Project 365 trial! I’ve seen so many people take on this challenge, but I never really thought my daily life was interesting enough to document. Plus, capturing something every single day sounds a lot easier than it actually is.

While I love photography and take plenty of photos, I definitely don’t pull out my camera every day. So, before I dive headfirst into a full year-long commitment, I’m starting small with a short-term trial run to see how it goes. Let’s see if I can make the habit stick. Wish me luck! 📸

Each week will begin with Sunday. That matches my calendar on my phone. My first photograph was taken on Saturday the last day. Saturday, June 27, 2026 will be included with the week June 28 – July 4.

Saturday- June 27, 2026

Mom and Dad went on a weekend trip with friends. Grandma got to spend the weekend with grand girls 🙂

Brie has started to wear mascara, eyeliner, blush and lip gloss. She did her makeup and Brynlee’s.

Sunday- June 28, 2026

Updated picture of the hoarder house.

Those tall plants will bloom with sunflowers. At least they did last year. Regardless, this unkept yard is a better view 🙂

Monday- June 29, 2026

While making a Walmart run, I ran into this lady. I hadn’t seen her since my daughter was in daycare. This was her teacher! She has always reminded of Wanda Sykes.

Tuesday- June 30, 2026

By no means is this a beautiful garden. However, I can tell you we will get the best beefsteak tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini. Kevin also planted some peppers, okra and cherry tomatoes. Dixie likes the cherry tomatoes. She will try to take a few if we don’t watch her.

Wednesday- July 1, 2026

Left top: I call these ditch flowers. They line the gravel road to my house. The picture right under is the grader cutting the bushes and trees that hang into the road. Normally, the side of the road is mowed creating a shoulder like for the road. With the mower up like it is, it looks very unsafe to me. An accident waiting to happen!

Right top: This is one of Kevin’s tractors. The cab has AC and that’s a plus this time of year. July 4 and baling hay goes together. The middle image is the view of a part of our farm. I wanted a picture to show how the rows look after cutting. The last image is not our field. It’s one I had seen on my drive to town. Inaddition to Kevin haying our property, he also cut and bale for several other people. The first place he cut was up North, about an hour drive on a tractor!

Thursday- July 2, 2026

Oh my lands. This is the best chicken tenders I ever get. They are from our local grocery store deli. They fry them daily. I usually get the three piece dinner. As you can see, I got two of the same side. This will be divided in half for lunch Thursday and Friday!

Friday- July 3, 2026

Our weekly grocery store trip. As always, we try to get into this lady’s checkout lane. As you can see, we are not the only ones to wait! Regardless how long the wait will be.

We’re having Thursday’s planned Friday lunch for dinner tonight instead. I totally forgot Kevin had yesterday off for the 4th of July weekend. And he wanted Mexican!

Saturday- July 4, 2026

My daughter sent this picture of grand daughter to me. It’s my picture for today! Watch out people, new driver on the road 😮

It’s been raining almost all day, so we decided to skip tonight’s plans and just stay in.

Just a reminder that I use auto-post to schedule my content. All photos were taken on the dates listed above; the scheduling delay just gives me time to edit the images and put the post together.

Yesterday is today’s memory.
Be sure to capture your memory today!

All the best,.

    • Thank you, Joanne! I had fun putting this post together. And I find myself laughing at the thought, ‘Oh, this would be a great post pic’ and then rushing to get the phone and get the picture taken!
      All the best.

  1. Yay for joining in with Project 365.
How great for you to have the grand girls stay over and run into your daughters teacher!
My garden isn’t the best looking either but it is growing well. The farmers are bailing the hay here too, I keep seeing tractors going past with trailers full.

    • Hi, Kim. It was you and Joanne who inspired me to give it a try. I’m on week two now.
Yes, and here when driving on gravel and highway, it’s not uncommon for a tractor holding up traffic. Usually only happens in July.
Garden’s are fun, work- but fun. Especially when we can eat the delicious picks!
Have a fun week. All the best.

  2. Congrats on entering this challenge! I am so bad at following through on things like this! I did not know you lived on a farm…lucky lady! I am a country girl though I never lived on a farm (my mom was raised on one and refused to let Dad have one). My grandparents had two farms, and I spent many happy days and nights at each of them. The hoarder house? Does he/she plant the sunflowers? And, yes, she definitely looks like Wanda Sykes!

    • My husband grew up in the country, small acreage but still had geese, chicken, a cow, a pig and a huge garden, There were 6 kids, needed a way to help with the grocery bill! 🙂 I knew we would eventually end up living on a farm.
I’m not sure if the hoarder planted them. If so, then they are aware of how bad their house looks to the other neighbors.
      Thanks for visiting Marsha.
      Have a fun weekend.
      All the best.

  3. Nice to see someone new joining in with Project 365. I love to see the insight into others’ lives. And welcome to another country/farming life blogger.

It’d be great if you could add the linky code so others can see who else has joined in. There’s a facebook group if you find one of us on there to add you, the code is shared on there weekly.

    • Hi, Emma. What do you mean my the linky code. I am familiar with inLinkz.
My 365 Project is a trial at this time. We will see if I can keep it moving forward.
Stop by anytime. You are always welcome!
      All the best.

  4. A nice variety of everyday photos–the grandgirls are the best highlights! I also have a grandchild learning to drive…exciting for them but also a bit worrisome as people seem to have less patience of the highways these days.

  5. Welcome to #project365, I love it when people join in from different countries. what is it with the line you join in the supermarket? We’re mostly self service here now, you hardly see a worker on the shop floor these days. Congrats on your granddaughter getting their drivers permit.

    • Here, there are self service lines. I refuse to use them. Always select the lane with cashier. When my cart is full, I don’t want to pack the bags myself. It’s enough getting them into the house and put away!!
      All the best.
