10 Things I Love About Summer on the 10th

Hi, and welcome back to Life Captured.

Marsha in the Middle has provided me with a wonderful blog post prompt! It’s 10 things I love about summer on the 10th. I am actually a bit excited. It’s like being a kid in a candy shop. My mind is whirling around and around. I’ll slow down to concentrate on the prompt.

My List of 10

  1. Having the summer off. No school, no drive 🙂
  2. Get to see my grand girls more.
  3. Fourth of July. A time for homemade ice cream!
  4. Swimming. Rather floating on the water, soaking up the sun!
  5. Hanging my clothes out to dry. I love the smell of my whites and sheets, fresh air smell.
  6. The sunflower field at Grinter Farms.
  7. Home grown tomatoes from the garden.
  8. The days are longer. I enjoy being able to spend more time in the evenings outside.
  9. My husband grilling. The best about grilling in the summer, I can go outside and smell the flavors.
  10. Ripe peaches. Our peach tree right out the back. I can see when they are ready to pick and eat from the kitchen window.

More Fun Than I Thought

What a fun little exercise! Every season has its own special moments to look forward to, but I’ve never actually sat down and listed them out before. As a visual person, seeing it all written down makes me so much more excited for the bright days ahead.

Yesterday is today’s memory.
Be sure to capture your memory today!

All the best,.

  1. Oh yes grilling! We enjoy all the fresh fruit and produce this time of year so much. In fact I’m hoping to go strawberry picking tomorrow!
