Most common round bales are 5×5. The bales Kevin works with are larger, 5×6. This may not seem bigger. However, the 5×5 bale provides approximately 98 cubic feet of hay. The 5×6 bale provides approximately 141 cubic feet of hay, offering a significantly higher volume and weight per bale. (I had to google the differences of the bales- credit goes to google AI).😃
The cows will eat the whole bale at a time. Every evening they will get a new bale.
